🔶 Pyramid 2023 is end of life. Customers who are still running Pyramid 2023, should upgrade to Pyramid 2024 LTS (which is the same code base as 2023) to benefit from the security upgrades and fixes included in 2024 in general, and this hotfix in particular.

  • Help on how to test an upgrade before deployment can be found here.

Pyramid 2024.07 includes changes. As such, Pyramid STRONGLY recommends that the new release be tested on a duplicate version of an existing content database repository before any production upgrades are applied.

Notes

  • This security hotfix includes a variety of important security upgrades to internal and third party components.
  • Systems using the internal authentication mechanism ("db auth") will force all users to switch their passwords on their next login once the hotfix is applied. Such systems should also enable multi-factor authentication and other password hardening options. This does NOT apply to systems using external identity providers like Azure AD, OKTA etc.
