Pyramid Analytics User Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Pyramid Analytics User Community!

From all of us at Pyramid Analytics, we're happy to have you here! What is the Pyramid Analytics User Community? The Pyramid Analytics Community is your one-stop-shop for all things Pyramid Analytics. It's a place to engage with your peers. It's a place for education and thought leadership on best practices. And it's also a place where we can exchange with you directly on how to improve and extend the product.
While our community was designed with Pyramid Analytics users in mind, we welcome everyone with an interest in data, advanced analytics, and sharing insights as long as you observe our community rules and abide by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Be respectful

Everyone in the community comes from a different background, which should be celebrated! Respect each other's time and attention by thinking and searching before you post, asking well-thought-out questions, and sharing what you've learned so far in your experience. Offer honest help where you can, keep a positive and constructive tone, and be patient! Remember, not everyone has the same expertise as you do!

2. Be relevant

Off-topic conversations have a certain time and place, but your posts and contributions should be on-topic and relevant, based on the area of the community. Please avoid asking duplicate questions in different areas of the community. If you want to ask a new question, it's best to start a new topic instead of asking it in the middle of an ongoing thread.

3. Keep your word

Don't post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.

4. Protect Privacy

Don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Share your business email address if you wish, but don't post personal information-your own or anyone else's- including contact information or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author's consent. Please be mindful of what data you attach! Log files contain very sensitive information about yourself and your business. For that reason, attaching log files is forbidden. Please keep in mind that Screenshots, query profiles and SQL Text/DDL may also be considered sensitive information by your company.

5. Remember this is user-generated content

You'll find plenty of good advice here, but remember that your situation, configuration, or implementation may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution. Some advice you find here may even be wrong. Apply the same good judgment here that you would apply to information anywhere on the Internet.

6. Appreciate others

Show your gratitude to those who have helped or inspired you. If you find a contribution helpful, please give it a like or accept it as a solution to your problem. Likes & solutions will help boost the value of contributions, making them easier for others to discover and enhance the reputation of their authors.

7. Moderator rights

Pyramid Analytics reserves the right of its moderators to edit, move, block, or remove discussions, signatures or images that they consider inappropriate or disturbing to our community. We may also ban any member at our sole discretion. We will always communicate with you via private messages to provide coaching or inform you of a decision. We ask that you do the same if you need to comment on a moderation action as to not disrupt the rest of the community. Don’t hesitate to send us a private message.

8. Advertising

If it’s relevant to the conversation, share information about products and services you love. But please don’t use the Pyramid Analytics User Community to prospect or advertise. If you have something you want members to join, participate in, or buy, ask us first.

9. Inappropriate Content

If you recognize any violation of these guidelines, please notify us within the community sending a message to Christian Langmayr or by sending a link to the content you object to community@pyramidanalytics.com with the Subject Line "Report Inappropriate Content" and let us know why you feel the content is inappropriate.

10. The Pyramid Analytics Team

You may notice that some users have a Pyramid Analytics Employe or Admin Label in their Profile. This means they are Pyramid Analytics Employees.

Like you, they are members of the community, and we encourage them to share their knowledge and opinions here.

11. Feedback & Ideas

At Pyramid, we're all about improving your experience. So, let us know what you think or how we can help improve your experience in the community by posting in the Discussion Forum or emailing us!

We know that you have tons of ideas to improve Pyramid Analytics. If you are an Pyramid Analytics Customer or Partner, be sure to create an idea to submit new feature requests or enhancements. Please review our idea submissions guidelines before posting
