Request for help with upgrade to JDK > 17.0.9 in Pyramid Build

I have installed Pyramid 2023.14.100 (September release) on an internal company server with an NCL license. I noticed that the JDK version of the build is currently 17.0.2. However, the security operations team in my company is requesting for a JDK version that is greater than 17.0.9 given some security vulnerabilities with JDK 17.0.2. Could you please help with the steps to upgrading the JDK version without breaking the current software build ?

    Hi Sanjeeth,

Before you upgrade, please check whether you have uploaded any custom certificates for your repository or have uploaded an SSL certificate to the Java Keystore.

These certificates will be removed during the Java upgrade, and you may need additional assistance in that case.

If you have uploaded any certs to the java keystore (such as an SSL certificate, please use steps 1 through 9 to export the certificates prior to upgrading the JDK and then complete the rest of the steps after the upgrade.

If you use do use any of the previously described certificates then please open a support ticket so our team can help you.

If you don’t have any custom certificates, you can download the newer version from the link below and use the following steps to upgrade.

These steps are only intended for Windows installations.

Note: C:\Program Files\Pyramid is the default installation directory and may be different if you chose to install to a different location.

    1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Pyramid\java\bin.
    2. Copy the sapjco3.dll and sapjco3.jar files to a safe location.
    3. Go back to C:\Program Files\Pyramid\java.
    4. Manually replace the contents of this folder with those from the newer version.
    5. Copy the sapjco3.dll and sapjco3.jar files back to the C:\Program Files\Pyramid\java\bin folder.

    Download JDK 17

    I hope this helps!

    Best,
    Carey Doughty
