Number Formatting in Discovery
Hi all,
I have the attached discovery prepared from the attached data model.
I am having trouble displaying the variance information as a percentage rather than a number format. Usually I would simply open the formula in formulate and be able to modify the formatting from there, however in this instance i am unable to and it will simply pull through the native formatting of the two calculated measures.
Is there a way to circumnavigate this? Or do I need to modify the formatting/content of my model in order to change the formatting of this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.
Thank you very much,
James

You can also change formatting later on when you display measure in Discovery by opening properties of measure by right clicking on measure.

Assuming 'variance' is already formatted to show %, try to enable the 'Model Formats' button.
See if this helps. -
Thank you both for replying vijay patel and Yakov Shaul
vijay patel there is no option to change the properties of the created measure when right clicked and the measure itself is not displayed on the right under the 'values' along with everything else. (Screenshot attached)
Yakov Shaul I do not have the options available you do, i have attached a screenshot - is this due to an older version of pyramid being run?
Thank you both again

James Dawson ,
I apologize, I've just noticed you are using an IMDB model, which behaves differently than OLAP cubes. (hence the missing button and the missing ability to format the custom member)
When working on a data source other than MSOLAP or MSTABULAR, Pyramid 2018 only supports number formatting on FORMULA items that belong to the MEASURES.
In your example, the VARIANCE formula item belongs to ACTUAL_BUDGET hierarchy, hence there is no way to change formatting for that column specifically.
This feature is on the roadmap for coming versions of the product.
Kind Regards,
Yakov.
