Conversations - how to mark as read?

We are using conversations to communicate within our development team.  How do we mark it as read?

    When you enter the conversation it marks it as read.

        Thanks.  It wasn't actually doing that yesterday.  But this morning instead of the 6 conversations I started. I only have 3 so maybe it is working as intended.

    This is what my conversations' dashboard looks like.  

    It shows 2 unread messages in the upper right corner.  And there is a 2 on each of 5 comments  that I wrote.  I have opened and read each several times as the inset shows.  Nothing changes.   

    How can I go to actual unread messages ~ my colleagues responding to me? Why is it not clearing when I enter?

      Hey   

      I think there was some form of a glitch when opening those conversations, however when opening a conversation it marks it as read. Currently there isn't an unread message button.
