Dynamic Date Parameters
Are you able to make the maximum year in a date parameter dynamic? So that right now it would give options up to 2020 – but next year, it would automatically update to 2021 without requiring us to edit the report to allow that?

Yes.
Create a List of Years by selecting the All checkbox. This will create a List that will contain all the values of Years dynamically at runtime. Thus next year, when another value exists for Year, it will include that as well.
Create a Parameter that uses the dynamic list to define the parameter values. Select the default to be"Last". This will create a parameter that will always default to the last value in the database.
