How to Create a Slider Filters

I would like to create a slider filter with a range that I can choose from the available measures.

How can I achieve this?

    Hi ,

To achieve the functionality of filtering a range based on the available measures within a Discover you can use the Quick Filter functionality.

Let's look at the Discover below

we can quickly apply a filter that will allow us to filter the Product elements by one of these metrics, in this case, we will filter 'Quantity'.

If we right-click on the column header for 'Quantity' and navigate through the context menu as follows: Query Operations > Quick Filter > By Limit > Between @1 and @2

this will apply a filter to the Discover and create 2 parameters to allow for the input of the range to be filtered.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this approach

    thanks

    Mark.

    Hi

The 'Between' filter example I provided creates 2 global parameters for the 'From' and 'To', with the initial example showing 2 text boxes, alternatively, they can be represented as 2 sliders.

In this scenario, the global parameters cannot set the value of another global parameter (i.e. a text box parameter cannot have its value reflected into a separate slider parameter), so the current possible option that could be used in Present is to filter the range with either 2 text box parameters or 2 slider parameters.

I would also suggest putting this as an idea in our Current Product Ideas area as a suggested feature.

    many thanks

    Mark
