Exploration empty in a publication

Good morning,
I would like to know if there is a way to not display an exploration in a publication when there is no information?

Hi Aurelie,

You could implement a page trigger to control when a page is produced within your publication. For your use case you could check to see if a discovery contains data, if it doesn't the publication would not produce the page.

I've placed an example of this on our 'Explore' environment here

within this example, the page has a trigger that has a condition that checks for a condition that will allow the page to trigger and not trigger when the condition is not met.

If we run this publication and set the slicer to 'Blue' it will generate a page containing the discover. If you run this same publication with 'the slicer set to 'Silver/Black' it will not generate a page containing the empty discover.

  Hi @Aurelie , the page trigger is for all the items on a page. The input of the trigger is a discovery and the metrics created by a KPI can be placed into this discovery

  Thank you for your reply. I think I understand that I can only create a page trigger with grid content. But in my case, I have a gauge. Is this still possible or do I have to create an exploration with a grid to create the trigger?

  Yes, you have to use a grid, but that grid does not have to be on the slide. Simply duplicate the KPI report, restyle it as a grid, make sure you have the KPI values you need in the grid and use those in your trigger formula.
