Upgrading from 2016 to 2018

Hi,

We have Pyramid 2016 and are looking at upgrading to 2018. Is there any documentation around best practices for the upgrade i.e. build out another environment and have the 2 running in parallel or is it an in place upgrade?

I'm also looking for a minimum requirements document for 2018.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to Pyramid and this forum, so please excuse me if I've posted this in the wrong place.

    Hi Derek,

    BI Office and Pyramid 2018 are two separate products therefor installed separately.
    Pyramid 2018 was built based on BI Office concepts, it's using newer web technologies and has far greater capabilities.

    Although not all BI Office features were implemented yet in Pyramid 2018, they are on the roadmap, including content migration.

    For the content migration, the plan is to install a standalone migration tool which will enable you to choose the content you wish to move across.

    Pyramid 2018 online help is where we'll be having most of the documentation done.
    including Pyramid 2018 minimum requirements information.

    As an existing Pyramid customer, you're entitled to use our support team assistance in case you run into installation difficulties.
