How to use the 'Publication Print' click action to apply slicers from a presentation

I am attempting to export a matrix-grid discovery to an Excel file on a presentation by using the publication print click action. I am having difficulties getting the discovery within my Publish file to format with the slicers from the Presentation, even though I am sure I have correctly carried over and mapped the slicers within the click action.

Whenever I use the publication print click action, only the presaved version of the discovery without the slicer values of the presentation are being saved. What am I missing?

    Hi Alexander,

As long as the slicers are mapped correctly from the click action from the present to the publication, the publication should be filtered correctly.

Details on the mapping of the slicers between Present and Publish can be found here

It's possible your slicers in the publication aren't mapped. Ensure that the discover in your Publication is mapped correctly as well

    Interaction Manager in Publish

First, test your Publication independently. Verify that the slicers are linked as needed to produce the correct results. Then, you can configure the Publication Print action.

In my example below , the Cal date year and Product Category slicers are mapped to the discover within the publication.

Next, run the publication. Click the pyramid icon located at the top left. In the Print & Export dialog box that appears, first check if the 'Slicers' tab is visible. If it is, you can then select the slicers to test your publication's output.

As long as your publication is working correctly with your slicers you can then configure the 'Publication Print' action within your Present

Below you can see how the Publication print action is mapped from my Present slicers to the Publications slicers.

I hope this is of assistance

I have put this example on our Explore environment here
