Security option: Read vs. Manage

Hi together,

I have a short question and wasn´t able to find this topic via the Pyramid help:
 

Within the content permission settings (Actions Panel -> Roles): what exactly is the option "manage" used for?

    This permission allows the role to manage the other permissions for the folder.

    Hi Florian, thanks for your question. As Mark said, roles assigned to "Manage" are able to manage permissions for the given content item. The Manage permission may be assigned from the Roles tab in the Actions Panel, and from the Save As dialog when saving a content item.
