SSAS vs. Pyramid IMDB

If an organization has a heavy investment in SSAS (multiple servers, both multidimensional and tabular, with dozens if not hundreds of cubes), what compelling reasons exist for using the new Pyramid IMDB engine for storing models?

Pyramid IMDB is provided as a convenient alternative for customers who want to explore other alternatives to SSAS. But this does not mean a customer must move or is penalized for moving. In fact, Pyramid has ensured that the functionality across the platform, regardless of the intermediate BI engine layer, is consistent. There are and will continue to be some unique features specifically geared for SSAS that are and will be supported. So, customers looking for that functionality or those customers who already have significant investments in SSAS do not need to be concerned about deprecation.
