This past year, I found myself thinking a lot about my relationship with money—not in the sense of chasing more of it, but in understanding the role it quietly plays in our lives. How it supports us, gives us choices, helps us care for others, and influences the way we move through the world.

I picked up “The Psychology of Money” during this time, and it honestly reshaped how I view financial wellbeing. The book reminds us that doing well with money has surprisingly little to do with intelligence. Instead, it’s rooted in our behavior—our patience, our discipline, our ability to stay steady when things feel uncertain.  It made me realize that financial success isn’t just about strategies, perfect planning, or chasing returns. It’s deeply personal. It’s emotional. And often, the biggest breakthroughs come from understanding ourselves rather than the markets, spreadsheets, or taking more risks.

This year I treated myself to an annual subscription to Drumeo. I’ve really enjoyed tapping back into my musical side again. It’s been such a good reminder of how grounding it is to learn something just for the joy of it, with no pressure to be “good” or productive.

In early 2025 I was part of a book club where we read Chris White's "The Six Habits of Highly Effective Sales Engineers". No matter how long you may have been in the field of technical sales I would highly recommend the read as it was loaded with tips and best practices.
