Plotting values on line chart without aggregating

Hello Pyramid Community!

I have plotted a line chart on monthly data as shown in attached screenshot. I want to remove dates from axis, instead have only year on x-axis (the way I have at the bottom of x-axis below dates). When I remove the dates and keep only year part, it would sum up the values for each year and plot on the chart. Is there a way to have these discrete values plotted without summing up and have only year part in x-axis? Thank you

    Hi  ,

Currently there is no way to individually format the axis labels when two or more attributes are used, for example by formatting the dates with a white font to hide it or not displaying one series.

Please submit a feature request in the Product Ideas Forum if you need this functionality.

    Regards,

Thanks Ian! When I color the X-axis values to white - both the series are colored white. Is there a way to color just one series (with months) and leave year series as black? or I am thinking if there is a way to prevent aggregation of values (when I use date year dimension as x-axis) by making a change to model or something. Please kindly confirm.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. currently you cannot edit the two series' labels separately, hence the suggestion to open a feature request on the Product Ideas Forum.

What gets plotted on the chart is driven by the attributes in the Categories drop zone, and Pyramid (by default) aggregates the measure based on the unique values in the attribute. Year attribute will aggregate by Year and Date by Date. You cannot aggregate by Date for a Year. There is a one to one correspondence between the attribute members and the aggregation of measures.

You are taking the right approach using both in the drop zone to display both years and dates, but we need an enhancement in the formatting controls to allow independent formatting of multiple series plotted on the same axis.

      Hope that helps.

      Ian
