Highlight Configured Domain Controller in LDAP Diagnostics
Hello PA Team,
Continuing the topic: https://community.pyramidanalytics.com/t/g9y1nml
I'd like to propose a usability enhancement for the LDAP System Diagnostics page.
I understand that this page is designed to test all discoverable Domain Controllers (DCs) to provide a full health check of the domain, rather than just testing the DC specified in the authentication settings.
However, this approach makes it difficult to quickly troubleshoot issues. When the diagnostics page shows a "failed" or "waiting" status, it's impossible for an administrator to instantly tell if the issue is with the primary, configured DC (a critical failure) or with a secondary, unused DC (a non-critical warning).
Proposed Solution:
Could you please visually highlight the DC(s) that are actively configured in the Authentication settings within the diagnostics list?
This could be done by:
Making the text bold.
Adding a special icon (like a star or a checkmark) next to it.
Placing it at the top of the list.
This simple change would allow an admin to instantly assess the situation: if the highlighted/configured DC is "valid", they know the system is operational and the issue is elsewhere.
Thanks.
