Background member
Hello,
In the latest Q&A webinar I noticed that in the demo discovery there was a background element visible. What's the use case for this and how does this work?

Please see the lower part of the screencap, you can see the background panel there. My interpretation is that it gives you this when you have selected a single member, is this correct? Somewhat analogous to subset in BI Office?

Yes, you are correct in your assumption.
When you are left with one member in your filter, we stop showing a selection filter and instead we show what is filtered in the Background.
For future questions, I recommend you take full-screen snapshots.
It would be easier to identify, rebuild your scenario and provide an answer.Kind regards,
