Slicer ID Embedded Content
Hi
We are building a website in which we use embedded dashboards.
We are looking to build some sort of bookmark/favorites solution on top of it, which would allow the customers to save the slicer selections and for us to re-create them upon new opening.
We tried using the getparameterAPI and target and doesn't seem to work.
The missing part for us is that we can't get any info on the slicer ID, so we cannot interact with them.
Any idea of how we can create slicers that can be dynamically saved for embedding?
We found this documentation which might be useful, but the specific example doesn't have the slicer info as well.
Thanks

Hi Yakov,
We can hopefully save you some work here! Bookmarks in Present is a feature we are delivering in the next major release of Pyramid during Q1 2023. The settings of slicers can be saved as a named bookmark and selected from a dropdown in the panel menu to give instant access to that combination of saved slicer values:
We'll be launching a Limited Testing Program in January for customers to test the new release in their own environment. Registration and sign up for that will be available soon, so look out for an announcement of that through the Product Announcements Forum. We'll also be emailing customers and partners with an invitation to take part.
Hope that helps.

Hi Ian
Great News!
As part of our solution is in embedded platform, do you know by now if and how this feature would be applicable in embed? Will it come with some type of API?>

Hi Yakov,
If you're embedding Present Dashboards, then it comes as part of the Dashboard.
With respect to API control, are you asking if it will be possible to inject compound slicer values into the bookmarks to set them programmatically?

Hi Ian Macdonald
We would like to let our clients to save and access bookmarks via embedded content.
So, if we would be able to inject slicers programmatically - it's perfect.
If we would have some other way, it's ok as well, but in the current version both of them are not possible.
