Group Dimension Elements
Hello,
How can I group in the report some elements? I have a field with A, B, C, D, E and F, and I want to create an extra field with value XX when field 1 is a, B or C, and value ZZ when field 1 is D, E and .

, create a (Custom) Column via Formulate. The business logic should more or less look like this:
The new object can be used like every normal hierarchy/dimension object (aka blue chips).

, yes, of course you can manage such a grouping in the model/data flow. And this would be the location to add "external" logic or data (or grouping information) via an Excel file as well.

But the model was not created by me... i dont haver permissions to modified it... can i do it in presentation layer?

using the custom formula it works for main elements, but I need to get from an excel file the mapping rules... can i add data from an excel file using a model created by others?

, phew, I suspect there are reasons why you aren't allowed to edit the model. Ask the model owner if they can grant you write permissions or if they can implement your requirements in their model. That would definitely be the cleanest solution.
If the mapping is particularly complex or extensive, we’ve also generated the code for the custom column using an Excel file. To do this, switch to “Script Mode” in Formulate, generate the mapping code snippets into Excel, and then copy the resulting script into the custom column. -
