Migration of repository possible?
Dear all,
is there a way to migrate a repository from the standard PostgreSQL to an MS SQL database?
Or can I at least transfer the complete content from one Pyramid installation to another, while the source is PostgreSQL and the target is MS SQL?
If so, could you please leave me a short guide?
Additional question: When installing Pyramid with standard options (i.e. PostgreSQL repository), I get asked for a file path for the repository (standard is C:\Program Files\Pyramid\repository). As I am not familiar with PostgreSQL, I do not really know, where the repository now is actually stored. In that file path, or in a database?

I'll start with your last question,
PostgreSQL repository physical location.
The PostgreSQL repository is a list of physical files located on your hard drive.
In your case under "C:\Program Files\Pyramid\repository\data"

We don't recommend using this option.

Export/Import Content
This would be the preferred option to copy content across from one environment to another.
export the selected item from its current folder location, in order to import it into another folder.
When an item is exported, it will be downloaded as a .pie file - the downloaded file can be sent to other users, and later imported into the Content Explorer.A pie file can only be imported to a similar version number or higher. (Never to a lower version environment)
Export can be done on multiple folders and the reports they contain. (A single .pie file will be created)
Migrate option
Is an upcoming new feature designed to answer the need to move content from one environment to another without the need to Export/Import.
This option is expected in our next major release. (v6.4).Kind Regards,
