Date slicers- show months in chronological order

I am wondering if there is something we need to do differently with the 2020 version of Pyramid compared to 2018, to make date slicers list months in the proper order?

When adding a time intelligence month to a slicer, it lists the months in alphabetical order, where in Pyramid 2018 it listed them chronologically. Listing months alphabetically makes it a bit of a pain for a user to select a range of consecutive months as they have to scroll up and down to find the months they want

(I'm on version 2020.18.055)

    Hi Sophie,

We didn't change anything related to the time intelligence column ordering.
Could you please open the Model file and follow the steps described in the picture below?
Then verify that the relevant columns are ordered by their numeric column.
That process should be done automatically when you are using time intelligence. if it doesn't then please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Shai.

You should leave the column as Date. there is no need to change it to string for setting a format.
The right way to format a date column is described in the picture below.

If you are not seeing all the columns as i do, then it mean that you are not using Time Intelligence.
Can you please post a picture of your ETL? Thanks!

Shai Ben Ami even when I format them like in your picture above, I still do not see the same options as you in the sort column

Sophie durrant The "Time Intelligence" node is used inside our ETL to calculate and produce various date-time values (stored in new columns) based on a source date-time column.
If you didn't use it before then it means that you mainly use the Date part option inside the data discovery tool.
If you change your column back to a Date and use Date part - Month, is it shown in the right order?

Shai Ben Ami so I changed the date formats as you said and now it is ordering the months correctly in the slicer-I still do not see the same options as you in the sort column, which is a bit strange, but it's working as expected now so I'm happy! Thank you

Sophie durrant if you want all the columns that I have then add Time Int node in the ETL

Sophie durrant when you click on the Time Int node, in the property pane you can select and unselect the relevant column that will be added to the table.
