CSV export to UNC path, licensing and permissions
We're on 2025.00.380 Enterprise with External Bursting (not EB Premium). We want to schedule a CSV export from a Discover, via a Model Data Flow, to a client's Windows UNC path. I believe we would need EB Premium to set this up.
Three questions:
1. Can the export target point to a folder already used for other purposes (e.g. DB backups), or does Pyramid's service account need a dedicated folder for permissions or security reasons?
2. Is native SFTP push for Publications (I believe this was shipped in 2025) available on Enterprise Edition alone, or does it also require Bursting Premium?
3. For scheduled flows, is there a supported way to parameterize the filter/slicer selection (e.g. "current period"), or must it be hardcoded into the model?
Thanks

Hi Ciarán.
Please see my comments below:
1 .- Yes. In Pyramid the export target can point to an existing Windows folder or UNC share that is also used for other purposes; Pyramid does not require a dedicated folder. The important requirement is that the Pyramid service account has the appropriate file system permissions on that location.
2.- Yes. SFTP distribution for Publications in Pyramid is a Bursting Premium capability.
3.- I'm not quite sure I follow. Could you break down what you are trying to do?
Hope it helps.
Thanks

For #3: the publication mechanism does not use parameters - because its supposed to run automatically.
What we do as an example, is have custom members (formulas) that auto define the current period dynamically which in turn feeds the publication with the "current period". For example, we create a formula called "this week", which is defined as a range from the last 7 day up to "today". The publication runs on an automatic schedule every Sunday night, sending all our sales people their sales results for the last 7 days ending Sunday.
