question about 'Distinct Count' total function by measure in Row Total

I have a report for active customer count by quarter , so one customer may appear in multiple quarters, in grand total, need to 'distinct count ' customers, but I don't find 'Distinct Count' functon in Row Total , could I implement this need?

Thanks,

Distinct counting needs to be set up as a model measure. Then you simply use the standard "aggregate" total to get distinct totals.

So, in your semantic model, right click on the customer ID column in your fact table and add a distinct count measure of customers.  Then use standard totals (which default to the "aggregate" total mechanism) and you'll get the distinct count total by quarter. Alternatively, within Discover, right click on the customer ID column in your fact table. Choose aggregate > distinct count for a one off measure.

Note, using the dimensional customer column generally does not produce the right result because of SQL joining mechanics.
