Allow users to view model processing logs with out having admin rights

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to allow users to view model processing logs with out having admin rights.

Currently to allow users to view model processing logs I also must give them permissions to have the ability to make change to content.

Is there a way to increase the transparency of the system while keeping a firm grip on the stability of the system ?

Tnx,

Michael Raam

    Hi

IF the users have a scheduled model they can view the activity through the Schedule Manager.

They obviously can't view other people's schedules, so it stays secure from that point of view. And of course they can't look at the Schedules in Admin.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi  ,

thank you for your answer and while it is useful on our Production environment the users can not create schedules, only the Admins can create schedules, due to stability consideration.

I've tried all kinds of settings and it either gives the users to much permissions or not enough.

We are considering creating a dedicated model and content  in order to provide the users access to the schedules execution logs.

    Tnx

    Hi

If they can't create schedules, what's the point of them seeing the logs? They won't be able to do anything about any issues...

    Confused.

      Hi ,

The aim is to see if there are failed model schedules  and the errors in case there is a failure.

We already enforce a policy that all models must send an email in case there is an error, however we can not find a way to send the error in the email.

Also we show the last process datetime of a model, however we want to see the history of the model process ( for high frequency models ).

In general, on Production,  the Dev and Monitor teams would like to have a ready only user that can see as much as possible, while the Operational / Admin teams would like to have control and stability.
