Upcoming features in Pyramid 2018?
Hello,
We provide a customised solution built on Pyramid software to our clients. We would be very eager to change into using Pyramid 2018 (we've had some stability issues with BI Office and the visuals seem much better in the new product). However, there are some features that are important in our service provision but based on our experience not yet available in Pyramid 2018. Are the following features of BI Office coming to Pyramid 2018 and if yes, is there any estimate on the timeline?
- What-if (cell overlay)
- Creating variables
- Dynamic sets
- Sunbursts
Thanks,
Simo

Hi Simo Leppänen
Creating variables
Yes, these are supported in the latest functional release which was available in January 2018
Dynamic sets
Yes, these are supported in the latest functional release which was available in January 2018
Sunbursts
These are planned for the functional release schedule for March / April
What-if (cell overlay)
There are no current plans to support the cell overlay functionality currently available in BI Office in Pyramid 2018. This functionality is specific to SQL Server Analysis Service and therefore we are planning equivalent and more enhanced functionality in a feature known as Visual Solver which will work across different data source / models. We expect this functionality to be available late 2018 / early 2019.

Ok, this sounds great, thanks for the swift reply. We do have the latest version of P2018. Is there some tutorial available/coming on these as we were not able to find guidance from the help portal?

Hello,
A lot of nice features in the new release. However, the sunburst apparently did not make it yet?

Hello Yakov, Could you let me know when you expect to add annotation capabilities to Pyramid 2018?
