Adjust default aggregation for date drill down levels.
I have a calendar hierarchy which when drilled down from Year to quarter aggregates by summing the months in the level below; I like this functionality but would prefer to be able to have it average the values. Is this possible?

I almost asked this question today but I realized I already asked it. I searched the forum and don't see it brought up elsewhere - if this is something handled in SSAS or the like please feel free to correct me.

At the moment we do not offer an 'Average of Children' aggregation option. one way to solve it is to build the standard additive metric on your fact table and then a second metric counting the members from your dimension table. Using Formulate, build a simple division of the sum by the count and it should reproduce what you are after.
