Configuring BI Office to Work with an SSL Certificate

Please follow the bellow steps to configure your BI Office website to work with HTTPS

  1. Import the SSL certificate into IIS. To do this, follow the instructions in the below link:

  2. Modify the web.config files.
    • For versions 5.x and 6.x, please make the following changes:
      1. Open C:\Program Files\Pyramid Analytics\BI Office 5\websites\paBio\web.config
      2. Locate: <add key="IsHttps" value="false" /> and change the value to "true"
      3. Open C:\Program Files\Pyramid Analytics\BI Office 5\websites\paBioAdmin\web.config
      4. Locate: <add key="IsHttps" value="false" /> and change the value to "true"
      5. Open C:\Program Files\Pyramid Analytics\BI Office 5\websites\paBioAdmin\ExtServices\web.config
      6. Locate: <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" httpsGetEnabled="false" /> and change httpGetEnabled to "false" and httpsGetEnabledto "true"
      7. Locate <security mode="TransportCredentialOnly"> and change it to <security mode=”Transport”>
    • For versions 4.x, please make the following changes:
      1. Open C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Pyramid Analytics 4.0\paBio\web.config
      2. Locate: <add key="IsHttps" value="false" /> and change the value to "true"
      3. Locate <endpoint address="http://pyramid.2012/admin/ExtServices/PyramidService.svc" binding="basicHtwtpBinding"
        and replace "pyramid.2012" with your Pyramid site url.
      4. Open C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Pyramid Analytics 4.0\paBioAdmin\web.config
      5. Locate: <add key="IsHttps" value="false" /> and change the value to "true"
      6. Open C:\Program Files\Pyramid Analytics\BI Office 5\websites\paBioAdmin\ExtServices\web.config
      7. Locate: <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" httpsGetEnabled="false" />
      8. Change httpGetEnabled to "false" and httpsGetEnabled to "true"
      9. Locate: <security mode="TransportCredentialOnly"> and change it to <security mode=”Transport”>
  3. Add a new SSL binding to replace the existing one.
    1. Open IIS and click on the Pyramid website
    2. Click on Binding (on the right pane, see screenshot)
    3. Click on Add to add a new binding, fill in the details and click on OK to save.
