We are also very interested in the release of this version. Is it correct that this is the version that will no longer rely on the Silverlight plugin? Our users are using Firefox Extended Support Release in the interim, but Mozilla is only slated to support the plugin "until early 2018" ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins ).
This is a major concern for our institution. If our users cannot use Firefox, then the Mac users essentially have no real viable way of accessing Pyramid.
